The Office of the Regional Director (ORD) leads and engages Regional Office units, Schools Division Offices, partners, and other educational stakeholders in providing quality and accessible basic education through policy and direction setting, partnership building, enforcement of standards, and resource management.


SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:

  1. Translate the National Education Development Plan (NEDP) and framework to Operational Plan that is suited to the context and situation of the region
  2. Ensure RO and SDOs are managed and led effectively, efficiently, and collaboratively
  3. Establish a mechanism for effective implementation of P/P/As in the region
  4. Manage the development and implementation of contextualized curriculum
  5. Review and recommend policies on curriculum implementation (CI), Learning Delivery (LD) and Learning Resource Management (LRM)
  6. Manage the development of contextualized learning outcomes assessments
  7. Develop implementing guidelines on Curriculum Implementation, Innovation, Contextualization, Learning Resource Development and Management, and Learning Outcomes Assessment
  8. Implement the institutionalized Regional Monitoring &, Evaluation Framework
  9. Ensure effective utilization of the QAME result to improve functional divisions and SDOs performance
  10. Ensure the approval for the establishment, renewal, and recognition of private schools
  11. Ensure the approval for the establishment, conversion, naming, and renaming of Public Schools
  12. Ensure the proper implementation of P/P/As for continuous improvement and sustainability
  13. Identify resource needs and potential local and international donors
  14. Craft localized policies and standards for partnership building
  15. Create opportunities for partnership in relevant areas
  16. Establish effective M&E for partnership sustainability
  17. Ensure that the recruitment, selection, and placement system is implemented effectively and efficiently
  18. Institutionalize a comprehensive employee welfare program on wellness, rewards and incentives, and gender and development, etc.
  19. Provide continuous professional learning and development for RO and SDO personnel
  20. Establish and maintain systems and processes geared towards administrative effectiveness and efficiency
  21. Promote a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration
  22. Conduct periodic monitoring and evaluation of office/staff performance for the provision of relevant learning and development programs
