The Policy, Planning and Research Division (PPRD) provides the Regional Office, Schools Division Offices, and other stakeholders an accurate, updated, reliable and relevant data, information and analysis for policy review and recommendation, planning, research, and other data-driven decisions.


SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:

  1. Lead the conduct of relevant activities in the development of the regional education long-term, medium-term, and operational plans
  2. Lead the conduct of quarterly review on the performance of RO/SDO to track the progress of PPAs
  3. Ensure alignment of DEDP to RBEP and compliance to policy and planning standards
  4. Lead in gathering feedback on policy implementation
  5. Process/analyze feedback gathered for policy recommendation
  6. Ensure the use of research outputs in improving the policy and program implementation
  7. Provide TA in the conduct of research studies
  8. Monitor and evaluate the SDOs’ implementation of Research Management
  9. Monitor the implementation of BERF and Non-BERF researches
  10. Provide complete, valid, timely, and accurate data and information for planning and strategic direction, budgeting, and policy review and recommendation
  11. Provide technical assistance on data management
  12. Track key programs and projects through the establishment of a management information system
  13. Establish and maintain systems and processes geared towards administrative effectiveness and efficiency
  14. Promote a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration
  15. Conduct periodic monitoring and evaluation of office/staff performance for the provision of relevant learning and development programs
